Digital Learning Tools for Online Instruction
April 6 – May 1, 2020
This self-paced course will guide you through various tools that can be used in the digital classroom, as well as the traditional classroom. These tools will complement the tools you are already using, allowing you to expand the opportunities for student learning. Explore and use a variety of tools by using the self-guided tutorials with the support of two instructors, who are Technology Facilitators, to give you the support you need to be comfortable with the tools and answer your questions as you go along. Some of the tools that will be covered are Zoom, Google Meet, Google Classroom, Screencastify, Seesaw, FlipGrid, EdPuzzle and more.
You will learn about tools that can be used both synchronously and asynchronously to deliver instruction materials. While most of the course will be completed at your own leisure, there will be two times that you will need to be online with the instructors. These times will be discussed in the online classroom with various times available to flexibly fit into your busy schedules.
