Mission Statement
The mission of the Rockland Teachers’ Center and Institute is to link the schools, the home and the community. To accomplish this we offer ongoing, high-quality, life-long professional development opportunities, along with preservice and inservice coursework and collaborative programs, community and retiree resources and after-school student programs, through partnerships with colleges, libraries, museums and other institutional content providers. RTC Institute provides community school-centered learning opportunities, global and local technology connections for educators, opportunities for career development through programs such as the NYS Teacher Center Online Academy, Assuring that all are equipped with 21st century skills, knowledge and dispositions necessary for a healthy society, workplace and global citizenship.
